   In the 3rd round of the Australian Open, Gael Monfils will meet Stanislas Wawrinka. The Frenchman is ranked 12th in the ATP rankings, while his opponent is ranked 19 in the same hierarchy. The two players met three times so far. Monfiils won 2 times and the Swiss once. The first dispute between them tooked place in 2007, when Wawrinka won at New Haven - USA, 7-6, 6-4. Monfils won in 2009  ( in the quarter-finals ) at Tokyo in three sets 2-6, 6-3, 6-4. In 2010 Monfils won again at Valencia ATP: 6-2, 6-4.

   Wawrinka defeated Teimuruz Gabashvili in the first round in three sets, and Grigor Dimitrov in the second round.
   Monfils had a tough match in the company of Thiemo deBaker in the first round. Monfils claimed the victory with 3-2 after being down with sets. In the 2nd round, Monfils defeated Frederico Gil in 4 sets.
In this game I bet on Monfils, considering his morale advantage over Wawrinka, his athletics, which are perfect for the hard surface and the fact that he is a showman and loves long matches and difficult opponents like Wawrinka. Such matches brings the best of him, and when that happens..it is almost impossible to stop him.

       My pick:  Victory for Gael Monfils.

Australian Open Winner

       
       I see Federer as favorite  to win this year's Australian Open. Federer has an easy quarter with opponents like Monfils, his countryman and friend Wawrinka and the biggest thread, Roddick. In the semifinals, players like Djokovic, Berdych, Davydenko and Verdasco can meet Federer. These four players have equal chances to make it into the semifinals in my opinion, but I don't see any of them to raise Federer any trouble. On the other half of the table the favorites to make it to the final are Nadal and Murray. I give credit to Murray here, he has to defend his points won here last year and Nadal's game from this year's start didn't impressed me at all, he looked tired and vulnerable, Federer could defeat him playing average.

Tactica impusa de antrenorul principal este de asemenea esentiala cand este vorba despre predictii fotbal. Sunt o multime de antrenori cu fel de fel de tactici. Aceste tactici le folosesc in functie de meci, de valoarea adversarului, de miza meciului, etc.

Oboseala jucatorilor – unul dintre cel mai esential element

Din cauza oboselii, adeseori se intampla surprize deoarece in campionatele puternice echipele sunt agrenate in mai multe competitii: lupta pentru titlu, cupa si cupele europene.

Moralul echipei

Deasemenea, moralul echipei reprezinta un factor cheie in realizarea unei predictii fotbal. Unele echipe au un moral ridicat ce se datoreaza rezultatelor bune din ultimele partide dar sunt si echipe care joaca prost din cauza relatiile proaste dintre jucatori sau alti factori cum ar fi relatia jucatori-conducere, jucatori-antrenor, salarii neplatite la timp, etc.

Motivatia jucatorilor

Cand o echipa mai slaba joaca contra unei echipe mai puternice, atunci motivatia jucatorilor este si mai mare, ei dand totul pe teren pentru ca nu au nimic de pierdut ci din contra poate reusesc o supriza. Jucatorii sunt motivati si atunci cand este eliminat un jucator de al lor sau in cazul cand li se promite anumite sume de bani in cazul castigarii partidei.

Starea gazonului si conditiile meteo

In anumite tari predominant ploioase, starea gazonului este influentata de starea vremii. Pe un teren prost si jucatorii joaca mai prost. De aceea informatiile despre vreme sunt esentiale.
